Aidan loved riding the pony. Someone had to walk with him and hold his hand because he was not able to hold himself up on the pony by himself at that time.
Due to his seizures we had to get Aidan a helmet. He did not mind it and it just looked like a bicycle helmet so he did not look out of place wearing it.
All dressed up for Uncle Chris’s wedding!
Due to the medicine Aidan’s balance was poor. This combined with the seizures would cause Aidan to fall often. As you can see in this picture Aidan would often scrape his knees.
This is Aidan just 6 weeks after starting the course of ACTH. By this point Aidan’s heart wall had grown in size and his blood pressure was extremely high. Shortly after this photo was taken Aidan was weaned off the medicine entirely
By this point the effects of the ACTH were evident. Aidan had gained a few pounds in only a few weeks. His blood pressure was high and he was very irritable. All of these were known side affects of the ACTH.
